- The background research this study is using new media in the part of people's life in current society. YouTube as the product of media that has a variety content that can be used as a source of information and entertainment. Web series entitled SORE – Istri dari Masa Depan becomes an interesting content for any circles, especially members of the Freleetics community Malang. This research uses reception analysis with qualitative approach. The data were obtained by in-depth interview technique, and then analyzed interview results and supported theory. Subject is determined through purposive sampling and got seven audiences in Freeletics Malang. According to the result, this research can be found dominant subject, negotiation and opposition. The audience considers the web series to be an inspirational show not only entertaining but also giving moral messages in which it means the audience here is in line with what the media has to offer (Preferead Reading). However, some of the subjects in the negotiating position also agree with the web series but they reprocess the message which assumes that the show is beginning to be confusing and that they have different ways of implementing a healthy lifestyle, meaning not rejecting it completely but giving their own views. In addition, there is an opposition subject assumes the impressions are not the same as the way with healthy living pattern they live then it means here the assessment of the subject based on their understanding and knowledge of media texts, as well as social background factors.
