Daftar Isi:
- Heavy metal lead (Pb) is a chemical element that has a mass of more than 5 gr / cm3. Heavy metal lead (Pb) can lead to a decrease in health due to pollution from industrial plant effluents such as lead mills that increase heavy metal content in water will result in heavy metals initially required for various metabolic processes will turn into toxins for organisms. In addition to heavy metal toxicity will also accumulate in sediment and biota through the process of gravity, bioconcentration, bioaccumulation and biomagnification by aquatic biota. The purpose of this study is to determine the presence and absence of heavy metal lead (Pb) in Mytilus edulis in coastal waters of Ujung Pangkah Village, Gresik regency. The research method used is the method of AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer) using 3 stations. The concentration of Pb on Mytilus edulis at station I was 4,32 mg / kg, while at station II and station III 0,42 mg / kg and 2,84 mg / kg. the heavy metal content of Pb on Mytilus edulis is still below the maximum limit set by SNI that is 1.5 mg / kg.
