- The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is an autonomous airplan that controlled from a long distance by a pilot and able to fly autonomously, known as drone. Generaly drones controlled by using a convensional remote control, where the conventional remote control using radio frequency signal. The goal of this research is we could control the drone autonomously by using an android application. Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept to get more advantage from internet connection. in because of IoT, android application can fly the drone autonomously. Results from the making of android applications, the drones can fly in autonomous starting from takeoff until landing. To specify the waypoint and see data point coordinates as well as the distance between the waypoint can be done with android applications. As for flying drones on command using a putty application on a laptop. Distance gave the command between the drone with a smartphone that is 150 metres by using a different internet protocol (IP). While distance drones is a laptop with a 10 meter by using the same IP from the mifi. The drone has 11-19 second delay to response while the network is poor and 4 second delay while the connection is good.
