- This study aims to describe the use of learning media in the STAD model. Mathematical learning media uses a simple power point module with the help of computer, LCD and tile tools through observations of the mathematics teacher's activities when teaching square and rectangle. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach while this type of research is descriptive. The implementation of this research was carried out on March 19 and continued with March 27, 2017 only in class VII A MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Malang. Based on the results of the analysis of the activities of the mathematics teacher in making use of the learning media in the STAD model for two meetings in the implementation that occurred at all meetings reached 91%. This can be caused by the factors that can influence the process of using mathematics learning media in the STAD model used, namely (1) the preparation of mathematics teachers to use the learning media in the STAD model used; (2) limited learning media used by mathematics teachers. The learning process in the STAD model related to the learning media can better prepare the learning media that will be used in the STAD model.
