  • This research aimed at analyzing the student’s conceptual and procedural knowledge in completing the National Science Olympiad (NSO) problems. The kind of research, that conducted, was the descriptive research and using the quantitative approach. The subjects of this research were two students of Junior High School. The data collection techniques of this research were test and interview. The test result would be analyzed to describe the conceptual and procedural knowledge, and inteview was used to make clear the test data result. The data analysis result showed that students’ conceptual and prosedural knowledge in completing the NSO problems was categorized as very good, the conceptual knowldge could be seen from the students when giving the example of a problem, using the mathematics concepts and relating one concept to other concepts, and representing in any form such as symbol. While the procedural knowledge could be seen from the students who could determine the completion prosedures, use the symbol, illustrations, pictures, tables/graphics, and translate it into an idea denotation well.
