- Every research must be has a purpose. The purpose of this research is to find out whether BTQ learning which MDKM (Markaz Dakwah Khidmatul Mujtama’) that exist in University of Muhammadiyah Malang has a significant effect to students. This research is focus on improving student’s ability in reading the Qur’an. Quantitative approach is applied in this research. With experimental method. While the pattern is one group experiment by applying the form of one group pretest and posttest design. The process of collecting data is using pretest and posttest at the beginning and the end of BTQ learning. Then, the data already obtained is processed by using SPSS and using T-test. The result of this research indicates that there is a significant effect on improving student’s ability in reading the Qur’an before and after following BTQ learning. This is in accordance with the calculation of SPSS t-count 24.236 then t-table 1.986 with db 90-1 = 89 and significant level 5%. The result interpretation of this research indicates that t-count = 24.236 bigger than t-table = 1.986 (t-count > t-table).
