  • Background : DiabtesMelitus type 2 is a disease that accompanies a lifetime of patients so that it greatly affects the quality of life of patients. some studies suggest that living with diabetes has a negative influence on the quality of life of patients even with or without complications. Objective: To determine the long-time diagnosed relationship and the length of treatment with the quality of life of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients at Puskesmas Kepanjen Malang Regency. Method: The study was conducted with a cross sectional approach with a population of 120 respondents. Data analysis was performed using the Kendall tau Correlation test. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Results: Obtained the results of the old value diagnosed with quality of life seen from the most duration there were duration of ≥10 years. While the results of the duration of treatment with quality of life seen from the most duration is in the duration of ≥10 years. From the results of the highest quality of life quality of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients, there were 105 respondents. While the results of the Kendall tau correlation test obtained a long relationship diagnosed with quality of life indigo p = 0.323 with r count of -0.071. And for the relationship between treatment duration and quality of life, the value of p = 0.323 with r count of -0.071. Conclusion: From the conclusion it was found that there was no significant relationship between the length of time diagnosed with quality of life. Whereas for the duration of treatment there was also no significant relationship with the quality of life of type 2 diabetes mellitus
