- Of course, through the untilization of a variety to a familiar sense of information. Similarly, in deciding to choose the University of Muhammadiyah Malang, as a candidate from Borneo to voto or decide a lecture at University of Muhammadiyah Malang also in influence by certain media. this research aims to find out what media to use and how to obtain that media, so decided the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The riview uses and gratifications theory. That’s assuming the existence of a need for an information that gave birth to the satisfacation of certain media against. This theory fits with the result data that researchers have gained, that there is a website where media utilization by student origin of Borneo containts more complete information. The methods used in this research uses descriptive quantitative apporoach to type. The subjects in this study amounted to 99 respondents, the sampling technique used was simple random sampling. The analysis used in this study is the alalysis of the frequency test SPSS software assistance 25.0. Results of the study stated that the media website is a medium most often in search and is used to find UMM and also convince in deciding lecture at UMM. With frequency 39 responded answer often. Thus it can be concluded that there is the untilization of communication media website in selecting a collage in UMM on student origin Borneo 2016. That media website provides information that is easily understood, so that gave birth to the statisfaction of the need of the audience in utilization media avail it.
