  • This research aim to describe: 1) To describe the implementation of the model of Asissted Individualization Team based on Open-Ended on the learning of mathematics 2) Describe the critical thinking ability in learning by using the Asissted Individualization model based on Open-Ended 3) Describe the mathematical connection in mathematics learning by using Model Asissted Individualization based on Open-Ended. The type of this research is descriptive research using qualitative and quantitative approach. The data source is the students of class VII in SMPN Malang, to analyze the implementation of Team Asissted Individualization model based on Open-Ended researcher using 10 stages of conveying objectives, presenting information, forming groups, presenting open problems, guiding groups, working on individual open issues, , group presentations, evaluations, cover with awards. Critical thinking ability is measured by using four indicators: interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference. Mathematical connections are measured using 3 indicators that recognize and use mathematical connections between topics, the relationship between mathematical concepts with other mathematical sciences, the relationship of mathematics in everyday life. Based on the results of research conducted shows that: 1) the implementation of learning by using Model Asissted Individualization based on Open-Ended get score 3.7 with very good category, 2) critical thinking ability as measured by four indicators get score 3,38 with very category good 3) mathematical connections measured by 3 indicators get a score of 4 with very good category.
