- The rapid development of cultivation of tilapia into intensive cultivation causes fish more susceptible to bacterial diseases. Bacterial diseases that often attack tilapia caused by bacteria Aeromonas hydrophila and Steptococcus agalactiae. How to handle the disease due to bacterial infection of hydrophila a fairly efficient is to use natural materials that exist around the environment. Some plants that can be used to overcome bacterial infections in fish are mengkudu, meniran and alfamind based rice stalks. The purpose of this study was to determine which plants were most effective in inhibiting or killing bacteria A. hydrophila, on the health of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). This research was conducted in July - August 2016 at Indoor Fisheries Laboratory of Faculty of Agriculture - Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology Laboratory of University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The research design used was Completely Randomized Design (RAL) consisting of 4 treatments: P 1 (probiotic alfamint) P 2 (meniran extract) P 3 (extract mengkudu) P 4 (control) and each treatment was repeated 3 times. Giving extract and probiotics 5 ml / 100 gr feed for each aquarium.. The results showed that giving mengkudu extract into fish pellet feed more survival of fish that live from the giving of meniran extract and probiotic alfamind. The best syntax value is found in the treatment of P3 (extract mengkudu) with the value of Survival Rate (SR%) 90%.
