- The background of this study is based on the problem of increasing the drop out rate from 2016 to 2017 in Genengan Village Pakisaji District, Malang Regency. Breaking out of school is always associated with economic problems, if seen economic factors are not the only factor that causes an increase in dropout rates. Teenage association with close friends, it can also affect the decision not to continue school. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of close friends on the decision not to continue the adolescent school in Genengan Village Pakisaji District, Malang Regency. The theory used in this study is Social Learning Theory explains the relationship between behavior, personality, and the environment in which a person is located. According to social learning theory, these three aspects influence each other in shaping one's attitude. Social learning theory states that social or environmental, cognitive and behavioral factors play an important role in learning. The method used in this research use case study using qualitative approach. The technique used in determining the subject is by purposive sampling technique, data collecting technique using Interview, Observation and Documentation and for Validity Test This research data using Triangulation Data source to compare observation data with interview data. The result of the research on teenagers in Genengan Village Pakisaji District, Malang Regency as the subject obtained that the relationship of Youth in Genengan Village with their friends is at the opening stage, where they are open and cares one another. The constantly intertwined intensity of interaction makes teenagers' relationships with close friends intimate and intimate and can affect the behavior and actions of teenagers unknowingly. A social friend, it turns out to have an effect on decision making to stop teenage school in Genengan Village. Due to the intensity of the interaction, make teenagers more follow the words of his friend than others.
