- This research explains some motives of foreign aid which provide by JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) to Ghana. The provision of foreign assistance by JICA is also on the basis of reducing poverty in Ghana and providing foreign aid is in the basis of numerous motives. In addition, this efforts are undertaken by JICA because of Japan's having responsibility as one of the developed country in the world. In this research, foreign aid will be a concept to explain problems in Ghana. Thus, this concept explains the reasons or motives why a country provide an access such as foreign aid to other countries. This concept also will illustrate how the implementation and the characteristic in every single motive. On the other hand, this research uses descriptive method, data analysis technique and data technique using literature study method. The result of this research will find some motives of foreign assistance provided by JICA to Ghana. These motives are related with the various humanitarian, political, and national aids of the donor country.
