- One of early adulthood development task is married. Marital adjustment is the process of adaption between wife and husband to made decisions about everything in marriege. One of the predictors of marital adjustment is adult attachment style. This research used quantitative with correlation method and the purpose of this research is to determine correlation between adult attachment style and marital adjustment. The instruments used Dyadic Adjustment Scale (DAS) and Adult Attachement Style Scale. The subject were 150 women aged 20-40 years, married and employed, age of marriage under 5 years and location of research in Hulu Sungai Selatan regency, South of Borneo. The subject taken with kuota sampling. The result showed that secure attachment is positively correlated with marital adjustment (R= 0,475), preoccupied attachment is negatively correlated with marital adjustmen (R= -0,249), fearful-avoidant attachment is negatively correlated with marital adjustment (R= -0,446), and dismissing attachment negatively correlated with marital adjustment (R= -0,547).
