- Most of women who have become mothers have obligation in parenting, but parenting is not easy thing especially if children has autism spectrum disorder. Involvement in parenting with autistic child is more complex compare to other normal children. By those complexities encountered, parents it can rise a feeling of self blaming if they are not able to deal with and accept it. Ability of being touched by, and open to one’s own suffering, desiring to alleviate one’s own suffering, and healing oneself with kindness is known as self-compassion. The purpose of this research is to know the correlation between self-compassion and mother involvement of autistic children. The data are collected using self-compassion scale and mother involvement scale. Data retrieval involves 50 people mother with autistic child. Data analysis using the product moment correlation. The results of correlation coefficient (r = 0,056) and significance value= 0.700. Research shows that the hypothesis is rejected, it means that there is no correlation between self-compassion and mother involvement of autistic children because the significance value more than 0.001
