- China is one of many countries that applied the law of environmental protection, nevertheless China was known for their low quality of the environment. In 2014, China adapted the environmental protection law and later start to implement it in 2015. Hence, this research interested to investigate the implementation of the environmental protection law after it was applied. This research aimed to describe whether the recent law of environmental protection could give a positive impact to overcome the environmental damage and able to guarantee the commitment of China government in order to contrive the sustainable development. This research is conducted by means of descriptive-qualitative within the concept of sustainable development and implementation of public policy. The result of this research shows that China government in applying the sustainable development has balanced between ecological and economic interests. It was proved by the establishment of wind power base in offshore area in Jieyang, then later established solar farm shaped like a giant panda and build up photovoltaic highway in Jinan. Through the environmental protection law, China legalized several policies and environmental programs to support the development of ecological civilization, such as: soil ten plan, water ten plan, and action plan air pollution. Whereby those environmental programs applied could give positive impact for China in the economic and environmental aspect.
