- Micro hydro power plant (MHP) is water-powered power plant from irrigation and river or natural waterfall by utilizing volume of water flow from waterfall which is resulting small scale of electrical power in under 200 kw. Proces performed in power plant is water flow delivered to power house that fur ther more turn the turbine. Fluid energy worles between blades in the wheel makes turbine changes water potential energy to mechanical energy. Water turbine clasified into impuls turbine (pelton, turgo, and crossflow) and reaction turbine (kaplan, francis, propeller). Type of turbine can be determined by waterfall height and flow capacity. Crosflow water turbine has 12 m height with 3<H<250 height range and 1,551 m3/s flow capacity. This design has outside diameter 570 mm, inside diameter 380 mm, and generating power 143,54 kw.
