- This researcher did for observe measure and characteristic material titanium (Ti) Ti6Al4V. The machine used is ball mill machine type vertical with constant speed that is 60 rpm. The machine ball mill use 12 and 24 ball pounder. Research use variation milling time 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 hours. Tool used is SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) Hitachi TM 3000 with sieve powder. Sized powder is used in size 20, 40, 80, 100, 200 and 400 (mesh). The researcher result showed change in microstructure that occurred. For 12 ball crusher with milling time 1, 5, 7 and 9 jam, giving a discharge in the size of the smaller particle. The powder shows an increase in 3 hours milling time because not deformed to the maximum. For 24 ball pounder there is a decrease in particle size milling time 1, 3, 7 and 9 hours. Powder return experience raising in milling time 5 hours, this is due to some powder stacks when doing SEM photos. So the particles look large because of the effects of piles between powders. For powder measure in size (mesh), shows the characterization measure size characterization to reach 400 mesh. Result analysis prove moment milling process discharge particle. Ball mill machine more than influential about brittle and hard material. Particle have the shape of flake and ligamental.
