- Nowadays, at renewable energy era there’s a lot of ways to produce electricity with renewable energy. One of the example is Wind Turbine. To produce electricity with wind power, wind turbine and generator are needed. There’s many tipes of generators to produce electricity, such as DC Generator, Synchronous Generator, and Induction Generator. There’s one type of induction generator can be used to produce electricity, it’s Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG). The system of Wind Power Plant must be produce maximum and stable power from DFIG. It needs a strategy which can optimize the system of DFIG, kind of MPPT. The Implementation of MPPT itself can use PID, to get maximum power very fast and From the result of the simulation, using Particle Swarm Optimizer Algorithm , it can be a best control method to find out optimum value of Kp and Ki. With optimum Kp and Ki value, the rotor speed can reach optimum speed, which also can obtain optimum power output. PSO has chosen cause it has great efficiency and faster to find optimum value better than the other meta-heuristic algorithms.
