- Protection of the public transport system today needs to be improved, especially on the legal protection afforded to the users of public transport services. Formulation of issues raised by the author on how the implementation of urban transport tariffs based on the Mayor of Malang Regulation No. 6 of 2015 on Transportation Tariffs and how the form of legal protection provided to users of urban transport services in case of violations of tariffs made by the City Transporter. This research was conducted at Department of Transportation of Malang City, through method of sociological juridical approach. The results of this study are analyzed whether it is in accordance with the applicable Regulation of Mayor of Malang Regulation No. 6 of 2015 on Transportation Tariff. In Mayor Regulation No. 6 of 2015 on Transportation Tariffs stated that the provision of urban transportation tariff for students or students of Rp.2000, 00 (two thousand rupiah), while for the public Rp.3500,00 (three thousand five hundred rupiah). However, in the implementation of the city transport drivers in the city of Malang attract tariffs exceeding the provisions set in Mayor of Malang Regulation No. 6 of 2015 on Transportation Tariffs. Users of urban transport services are entitled to compensation in case of a tariff violation committed by the driver of urban transport, as well as the need for sanctions given to drivers or business actors of city transportation in violation of tariff provisions that have been set in Mayor Regulation No. 6 of 2015 About Tariff Transport.
