- Antenna tracker is an actuator control of at least two degrees of freedom, namely the pitch and yaw axes, as the antenna platform that can move the antenna to actively direct the rocket payload. This antenna works based on the position of the rocket payload sensor Ground Control System based on Global Positioning System (GPS) which is mounted on the rocket payload. In this system, it uses a sensor antenna tracker Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the position coordinate data of the rocket payload. The data used is the latitude, longitude, and altitude. Rocket payload will accept the position coordinate data via radio telemetry TX mounted on a rocket payload will then be received by radio telemetry RX antenna mounted on the tracker. Coordinate data of the position of the antenna tracker rocket payload are calculated so that we will get the distance data, altitude, pitch angle and heading angle. Antenna tracker using a compass sensor and accelerometer sensor to determine the heading angle and the pitch angle of the antenna tracker. The data is used as a comparison between the actual angle and desired angle. The test results have shown that the system has been designed and implemented successfully. Antenna tracker can move in real time tracks the rocket payload.
