- This study aimed to know the suitability between the policies applied by PT BPR AKASIA with the implementation based on the prudential banking principles. This is a descriptive study. The types of data were primary and secondary. The data collection techniques used was questionnaire, interview and documentation. The findings showed that the policy was in accordance with the implementation based on the banking prudential principles. According to the interviews with one of the leaders of Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Amanat Kesejahteraan Indonesia (BPR Akasia), the cause of nonperforming loans at the bank was the the incapability of the debtors in fulfilling obligations to discharge the loan due to the decreased income or bankruptcy of the business run by them.
