STUDI PENGGUNAAN ANTIBIOTIK SEFTRIAKSON PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE II DENGAN ULCUS (Penelitian di Instalasi Rawat Inap RSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung)

- Background: Diabetic ulcer is a condition of skin tissue infection from diabetes mellitus patients due to anaerobic patogen breeding. Ceftriaxone is the most commonly prescribed empirically antibiotic before it gets the results of a microbiological examination. Objective: To know the ceftriaxone use for patient with diabetic foot ulcer in hospital dr. Iskak Tulungagung related to the types, routes, dosage and duration of use with clinical and laboratory data. Method: Observational descriptive and retrospective design in diabetic foot ulcer patients at period of June 2017 – December 2017. Result and Conclusions: Results from 25 patients showed that ceftriaxone (2×1g) IV singly was administered in 9 patients (33%), a combination with one antibiotic else in 17 patients (63%) with the highest combination is ceftriaxone (2x1g) IV and metronidazole (3x500 mg) IV in 13 patients (48%) and combination of two antibiotic else in 1 patients (4%) with ceftriaxone (2x1g) IV, ciprofloxacin (2x200mg) IV and clindamycin (2x300mg) PO.
