- Diabetes is a chronic metabolism that result in too high glucose level in the blood because interruption of insulin. In this research, combination ethanolic extract leaves of Mangifera indica Linn and Syzygium polyanthum. The aim of this study was to know the effect of combination ethanolic extract to decreased glucose level on male rat (Rattus norvegicus) with diabetes mellitus type 2 because of alloxan monohydrate. Thirty six Rattus norvegicus were divided into 6 groups. i.e group healthy, positive, negative, I, II, and III. Ethanolic extract of Mangifera indica L. and Syzygium polyanthum then given orally for 7 days consecutively in three combination doses; 84 mg/200g BB : 360 mg/200g BB (group I), 42 mg/200g BB : 360 mg/200g BB (group II), dan 42 mg/200g BB : 720 mg/200g BB (group III). This research was using true experimental with post test only group control design, the data were analyzed by ANOVA and LSD tests. Based on data analysis, there were a significance differences (p < 0,05) between group I and healthy control, group II and healthy control. But, there was no significance difference between group III and healthy control. The result of this study showed that combination ethanolic extract leaves of Mangifera indica L. and Syzygium polyanthum could be decrease glucose level were not significant, but in dose 42 mg/200g BB : 720 mg/200g BB (group III) was the most effective
