  • The purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of full day school policy in SDN 3 Blimbing Malang, problems faced by school and effort of school to overcome the problem. The research method is qualitative approach with the type of research is descriptive. Data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of full day school policy has been carried out during one tofu calculated from May 2017, the policy is based on the Strengthening Education Policy of Character created by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Indonesia. The purpose of full day school applied in SDN 3 Blimbing Malang City is so that the students have the character set by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Indonesia. Problems arising during the full day school implementation of other facilities and inadequate infrastructure, adaptation of teachers, employees, and students requiring a relatively long time, parents' concerns about their children in grades 1 and 2 and adjustment of school schedules and student activities outside the school that has been scheduled earlier. Solution conducted by the school with the existing problems is to always socialize the activities of students in the policy of full day school, giving dispensation to students who have schedule activities outside school that has been scheduled, weekly evaluation and collaboration with institutions that can support full day school activities in schools.
