- Plant variety description can be used as a testing material when will apply for Plant Variety Protection Right. One of methods in variety characterization of jatropha is based on plant morphological character both qualitative or quantitative character. Genotype comparison of jatropha in this study is JcUMM5, whereas variety comparison is JET 1 AGRIBUN from Badan Litbang Pertanian Indonesia. The aim of this study is to gather information of morphological and anatomical character from 2 genotypes of jatropha. This study was conducted in the experimental farm Kedung Pengaron village, Kejayan subdistrict, Pasuruan on January until November 2017. Tools that were used consisted of agriculture tools, stationary, ruler, calipers, camera, plant label, identity board, data collection book, and calculator. The materials that were used in this study were genotype JcUMM5 and genotype JET 1 AGRIBUN of jatropha plant, jatropha plant organs such as leaves, petiole, flower, and seed, manure, inorganic fertilizer (Urea and Phonska), Lanate insecticide and Benlox fungicide. This study used paired design trials. T analysis and cluster analysis were used for calculating data that was obtained during vegetative and generative phase of plant. The result of morphological and anatomical examination of two jatropha genotypes in Kedung Pengaron Pasuruan showed that both genotypes of jatropha had morphological difference in variable of stem cutting diameter, leaf length, fruit width, fruit length, seed width, and weight of 100 seeds. Jatropha genotypes grouped in two main groups and cluster analysis showed 77,8% similarity between them. Both genotypes of jatropha had also a different performance of anatomical character that is amount of chlorophyll b.
