Daftar Isi:
- Temulawak (curcuma xanthorriza roxb) is a medicinal plant that can stimulate digestion and improve the efficiency of the use of feed. Curcumin of temulawak have antibacterial, antiprotozoa, antiviral, anticoagulant, antioxidant, antitumor, and anticarcinogenic that can inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Staphylococcus epidermidis to improve digestibility, one of which is protein digestibility. The research was conducted on January 19, 2018 till finish, at experimental farm University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of addition of temulawak in feed to biological value of protein and nitrogen retention of super chicken. The material used is kampong chicken which is kept from age 1 day until 60 days as many as 100 chickens. There were 4 treatments : P0 (feed without temulawak flour), P1 (feed with temulawak flour 0,33%), P2 (feed with temulawak flour 0,67%) and P3 (feed with 1% temulawak) and 5 replications. Each repetition consists of 5 chickens. Experiment design was used a Completely Randomized Design. Data analysis using Variance Analysis (ANAVA). The conclusion of this research is the temulawak as a mixture of herbs in the feed was not significantly (P> 0,05) to the value of biological protein and retention of nitrogen kampong chicken super. The conclusion of this research is the addition of temulawak flour in the feed was not significantly (P> 0,05) to the biological value of protein and nitrogen retention of super kampong chicken.
