  • Misuse of narcotics is the use of addictive substances not for long-lasting treatment that result in physical, mental and social disorders. Narcotics abuse is not only dominated by teenagers but children are also involved. The existence of various problems in life makes Children involved in narcotics abuse either as a user, dealer, or narcotics delivery courier. The research attempts to reveal the problem of the normative juridical aspect of the factors causing the abuse of narcotics conducted by the child, how to overcome the abuse of narcotics done by the child and what are the inhibiting factors in the effort to overcome the abuse of narcotics by the child. Based on the results of the study concluded that the factors that cause abuse of narcotics conducted by children can be analyzed using two approaches. Intrinsic factors include the factors of religion, family, intelligence. While extrinsic factors include social factors / environmental influences, education, economics and the most dominant factor is family. Countermeasures to address drug abuse by children through penal and non penalty efforts. Inhibiting factors in the prevention of abuse of narcotics conducted by the child that is law enforcement factors, infrastructure and environment / society Suggestion of the writer is the family pay more attention to family members because of the family implanted moral traits and religious values that became the foundation of the faith of the child. The efforts to overcome non-penal drug abuse in children through social control and public attention are preferred and the need for law enforcers to be more firm in dealing with drug abuse in children.
