- One of the activities that must be followed by the students in outdoor activity is scout extracurricular. Scout extracurricular has many aspects to grow up their discipline and leadership. The scout activity provide students opportunities to be able to grow and expand the talents also to training students’ discipline and leadership figure. This current study aimed 1) To know the implementation scout extracurricular in SDN Sumbersari 1 Malang, 2) Know the process of growing discipline and leadership figure through scout extracurricular in SDN Sumbersari 1 and, 3) Know the obstacle and supporting factor of scout extracurricular to instilling the students’ discipline and leadership factor in SDN Sumbersari 1 Malang. This study is qualitative descriptive by data sources obtained from interviews with principals, classroom teacher, and also the leaders of scout extracurricular SDN Sumbersari 1 Malang. This study was conducted in February 2018. Data collection technique using observation, interview, and documentation. Also, data processing by collecting data, reduction of presentation data, and the last is conclusions. The results of the study showed that the discipline and leadership can be grown in scout extracurricular activities with various activities. It is also similar to the one mentioned by (Arjun, 2015: 47) that is the scout extracurricular is the process of out-of-school education and family in the form of exciting, fun, challenging, scouting activities conducted using the basic principles of scouting and scouting methods, the ultimate goal of Scouting education is the formation of character, morals and character. The attitudes can also be grown in classroom activities and outside activities, discipline and leadership can also be one factor to be able to improve the quality of self in every student in the learning activities in the classroom or outside the classroom and non-academic activity.
