- In using social media, verbal aggressive behavior often arises, it is driven by the presence of a fanaticism that a person has toward an object, because the individual with high fanaticism has the idea that his thoughts are the right thinking and often impose those thoughts on others, people with high fanaticism is difficult to accept criticism of others and will tend to defend excessively, until the emergence of verbal aggressive behavior in social media. The purpose of this research is to look at the relationship of fanaticism with aggressive verbal behavior in social media conducted by K-pop idol fans. This research uses correlational quantitative research method. The subject of this study is a fan of Kpop idol which amounted to 915 people .. The measuring tool used is the scale of fanaticism and verbal aggressive behavior in social media. This study shows that there is a positive relationship of fanaticism with verbal aggressive behavior in social media on K-pop idol fans (r = 0.626 and p = 0,000). Fans of K-pop idols who have high fanaticism will have high verbal aggressive behavior as well.
