- The image of women for girls is very important. But negative judgment from others or fear of negative evaluation (FNE) is an interpersonal relationship that can make us feel anxious with the body image it has. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of negative evaluation on body image in female students. This research use cross sectional approach, by using sampling technique that is quota sampling with subject of research is coed aged 17-21 year counted 350 subject. Instruments in this study using a short scale fear of negative evaluation (FNE) and body image scale. Data analysis using simple linear regression. The results showed a negative influence on negative evaluation (FNE) on body image in female students. Value results with r = 0,000 <0.05. It shows the higher the student feelings of fear of negative evaluation (FNE) hence the more negative body image owned by student with FNE treasure of 11,6% to body image.
