  • Java Language Learning has been taught since elementary school. Because it is very important to preserve the Javanese language, this Javanese language subject goes into local content, but in reality the subjects of Java language are considered very difficult, so the students interest in these subjects is very low. Therefore, teachers must be creative and innovative in teaching the subjects of Java language so that students are interested to learn the subjects of Java language one of which is reading Java script material. Therefore, the need for changes in learning facilities and infrastructure such as the use of learning media that is by using media Kerajawa (Kertu Aksara Jawa) in learning. This research was conducted by using Reserch & Development research or commonly referred as research development. This research uses ADDIE development model which consists of five stages: analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation. Kerajawa media (Kertu Aksara Jawa) was validated by one material expert, one media expert, one teacher of Java Javanese elementary school, and was responded by 12 students. The result of this research shows that Kerajawa media (Kertu Aksara Jawa) which have been developed have excellent quality according to material expert with score of acquisition 38 with percentage of achievement rate of 95% and 95%, very good according to expert media appraisal with score 58 with percentage of achievement level kevalidan 96.5%, very good according to the Javanese teacher SDN Temas 1 Batu with the score of 92 with the percentage of achievement rate of 92%. Meanwhile, based on students' responses, the criteria and validity of the media are very good with average achievement rate of 96%.
