- This research aimed at describing the mathematical connection ability of Junior High School (SMP) students based on the Adversity Quotient (AQ), in which it involved of quitter, camper, and climber. To get a description about good mathematical connection ability, it was helped with mathematics learning through the REACT. The subjects of this research were 6 students of class 8A,they represented each type of AQ. The data collection used the AQ questionnaires and conducted a test about the students’ mathematical connection based on the AQ type. Data analysis was conducted by using the following steps: data reduction, data presenting, and conclusion. The research result showed that (1) the mathematical connection ability of quitter students was good enough, (2) the mathematical connection ability of camper students was very good, dan (3) the mathematical connection ability of climber students was very good.
