Daftar Isi:
- Bamboo education forest of Muhammadiyah University Malang is a forest prepared by the Forestry study program as a source of academic research or as a complement to the learning and research of forestry students at Muhammadiyah University of Malang. This study can more or less provide information about the structure and composition of vegetation found in UMM bamboo education forests. The study was conducted in March 2018, which was carried out by analyzing vegetation in the UMM bamboo education forest area. The method used is a double plot method, with a sampling intensity of 30% so as to make a plot of 28 plots with a size of 20x20 m. Each plot contains plots of 10x10 m, 5x5 m and 2x2m. Data retrieval is done by recording the type and amount, and measuring diameter (DBH) and height for the level of poles and trees. Whereas for the seedling and sapling level only identify the type and amount. Data analysis on composition and structure is carried out at all levels of vegetation. Based on the results of the study found 28 species that entered into 17 families and families that have the most species, namely Fabaceae family or tribe of legumes. At the level of trees, poles, saplings and seedlings with the highest number of individuals is Swietenia mahagoni (L.) Jacq Important Value, Value Index of type Swietenia mahagoni(L.) Jacq at tree level (166.19%), pole (101.23%), sapling (110.87%) and seedling (140.02%), Plant diversity index at plant level bottom is relatively high with a value of H '2.00, at the tree level H' 1.33; pole H '1.70; pile H '1.14 is classified as medium and at seedling level H' 0.60 is low.
