  • Forest has an essential role as the controller of microclimate on its surrounding. The different condition of every forest also give a different effect in controlling the microclimate at the forest environment. Brown waste will be decomposed into nutrient in the soil, those will give an extra nutrient in soil that increase the productivity of the plant. The purpose of this study is to know the effect of Microclimate toward Brown waste Water Content in Bamboo Education Forest at University of Muhammadiyah Malang. This study is done on March in Bamboo Education Forest of UMM in Kucur village, regional of Dau, Malang Regency. Purposive sampling is used as the method of this study with 14 plots in 3, 7 hectare of bamboo forest and the plots used is 20 x 20 m. The parameters are taken from the height and diameter of the trees, microclimate in the form of temperature, humidity, intensity of light, and the sample of brown waste. The brown waste sample is collected with a frame size of 50 x 50 cm and heated by using oven for 48 hours in order to get the dry weight of the brown waste. The result of this study show that microclimate gives an effect and correlation toward brown waste water content. It can be seen from the regression analysis a where the result obtained for the regression is Y=-366,312 + 2,247 X1 – 0,051 X2 + 5,187 X3, with the explanation X1 is the temperature, X2 is intensity of light, and X3 is humidity. It shows the correlation between microclimate toward brown waste water content. Vegetation will also affects the microclimate, the more vegetation on the region of the forest then the microclimate will also give more affect than the forest with less vegetation.
