  • The use of non-timber forest products by the community at this time has undergone a change due to changes in the taste and level of community consumption and an increase in the social dynamics of the community. This study aims to determine the process of making bamboo woven crafts and skewers. The study was conducted in Benjor Village, Tumpang Subdistrict, Malang Regency. Data collection using direct interview techniques, field documentation and some literature. The results showed that in general the community had long known and utilized non-timber bamboo forest products for the need of skewers, and baskets. Local knowledge and utilization of local plants should be a consideration for future forest management policies.
