PENGARUH ACTIVE ISOLATED STRETCHING TERHADAP PENINGKATAN JUMP SMASH PADA PEMAIN BULUTANGKIS DI MUHAMMADIYAH BADMINTON CLUB

- Bacgroud : Smash is an important blow in badminton that allows over 50% of the punches that give the victory comes from this. There are two type of smash that is standing smash and jump smash. in jump smash a technique used is a vertical jump which requires a large of muscle explosive power. Increasing the ability of explosive power there are various way, one of them by warming up before starting exercise or match. The usual type of warm up is stretching. Active isolated stretching is a method of stretching by using contraction of a muscle agonist and cause the antagonist muscle stretched without causing muscle tension. Method : This research use pre experimental method with one group pre-test and post-test design. This study was conducted from 20 – 31 March 2018. Respondent in this study is muhammadiyah badminton club player were 18 respondent with male gander. Data analysis using paired t test. Result : Base on the calculation of paired t test, the signification 0.000 (p < 0.05) then H1 is accepted. So obtained the result of research proved that active isolated stretching can improve the ability of jump smash. Conclusion : There is an increase in jump smash value after an active isolated stretching intervention with an average rating (55.33) is higher than the average value before an active isolated stretching intervention (53.39).
