- Nowadays, smartphone addiction is not only happening among adults but also for the children especially for elementary school children. Parent-child games are the method that involves parents and children to play games together. This study aims to find out whether parent child games can reduce smartphone addiction for children aged 8-10 years. This research approaches using pre-test and post-test control group design. This experimental research applies Smartphone Addiction Scale (SAS) as the instrument. The result showed that there is a decreasing in smartphone addiction scale score after applying parent-child games. Thus, it can be concluded that parent-child games can be used to reduce smartphone addiction on children
