  • In this research, prototype body car competed in Shell Eco Marathon Asia and Save Energy Car Contest aimed to be designed and analyzed. A conceptual aspect of save energy car is having strong, light body and good aerodynamic with minor drag coefficient. In a vehicle, drag coefficient is very influencing toward its stability and efficiency in fuel consumption. Focus in designing this car body is more streamline and removing sharp angles also tapering body leading edge from the previous. Numerical method of CFD with ANSYS Fluent 18.1 software used to analyze body aerodynamic. Observation and simulation data collection included contour analysis of pressure distribution and speed contour. Simulation condition chose k epsilon realizable standard wall function also interpolation scheme of second order upwind. For limit condition, it is determined by 10 m/s inlet velocity and outlet is pressure outlet. From the result of simulation, the smallest drag value on body design 2 is CD 0,067581528 and the highest in the previous design is CD 0,66720951. It shows that both of body designs has significantly high difference, which is the second is more aerodynamic. As it is better in aerodynamic, expectedly, it is able to lessen fuel consumption.
