- This research aimed at knowing the influence of filler variation of pandan wangi (pandanus amaryllifolius) fibers and rice husk which are used as the filler towards mechanical properties in the terms of tensile strength. This research used pandan wangi fibers and rice husk, in which it used filler variations of 4%, 5%, 6%, 7%, 8%. The treatment process of this research was done by hand lay-up, that was by mixing the resin, catalyst, and then poured into molds that have been arranged by fibers. Yukalac 157 polyester resin and catalyst (hardener) with MEKPO compound (Methyl Etyl Keton Peroxide) were used as the matrix of this research. The result of this research showed that the highest tensile strength value was on the filler variation of 6% that was 24,8426 N/〖"mm" 〗^"2" , while the lowest tensile strength value was at the filler variation of 5% that was 17,5571 N/〖"mm" 〗^"2" . The highest strain value was on the 4% filler variation, of which value was 11.5422%, while the lowest strain value was on the filler variation of 5%, of which value was 9.9069%. The elasticity modulus value was on the 6% filler variation, that was 2.3648 N/〖"mm" 〗^"2" , while the lowest elasticity modulus was on the 5% filler variation, that was 1.7715 N/〖"mm" 〗^"2" .
