  • Today’s technological advancement has been widely used in the society where almost everyone has the electronic device called smartphone. The development of this technology have positive advantages such as the user can easily communicate with each other and can quickly get access to the latest news. But it can also have negative impact with the growing number of cyber crime and other action that can harm others. Cyber crime is a fraud that happens within the cyberspace and categorized as moral hazard behavior. Moral hazard often found when someone want to search for the goods they want in online shopping. This study will explore the moral hazard behavior that is commonly found in online business among young businessmen and buyer in Malang. Moral hazard that normally found is fraud- that is done whether by seller or buyer, and counterfeit goods. The data in this study were obtained by observation, interview, documentation, and questionnaire. Interviews were conducted to ten subjects and additional data is collected from questionnaires distributed to 33 respondents with specific criteria determined by the researcher. The criteria are young businessmen aged 20-23 years, reside in Malang, practiced online business at least 1-2 years, as well as online shop users in Malang. The theory used in this research Morality Theory from Emile Durkheim.
