- The focus of this research is how the character of religious student in SMK N 2 Malang, religious of value belief implanted based on religious education, and method of forming the religious character of student in SMKN 2 Malang. Qualitative approach is used in this study. With the type of case study research. Data collection through in depth interviews, observation and documentation studies. The research informants were principals, teachers of Islamic Religious Education, non-Muslims, general teachers, administrative departments (TU), and students. The research used purposive sampling with snowball sampling technique. Check the validity of data, condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing / verifications. The results show that, (1). Character of religiosity students in SMKN 2 Malang city is very varied, wrong is background family, then character of religios of students in SMKN 2 Malang city there are categories of which are very religious, religious and less religious (2). The process value of planting religious characters to the students based on religious education in SMKN 2 Malang include: greetings, handshake, reading Asmaul husna every morning, praying before and after lessons, Dhuha prayer, Zhuhur praying congregation, Istighosah, Prayers jum'at, The Qur'an every Saturday (3). Methods of forming religious characters include: exemplary method / habituation, question method, method of lecturing problame solving method
