- The burden borne by the family who live with severe mental disorders include several factors, both economically and socially. Stigma in society towards people with mental disorders are also difficult to deal comprehensively with mental disorders. So that the stigma against people with mental disorders, especially severe mental disorders still needs to be studied more in depth, to find the right solution in the treatment of patients with severe mental disorders in the community.This study design using qualitative methods with CSR approach (Case Study Research). Participants were taken as many as three participants that parents ODGJ client, the client's younger brother and a close neighbor ODGJ ODGJ clients. Data retrieval research conducted at the participants in Lumajang in July 2018. The research data were taken using interviews and observation. The results showedfour themes, namely; behavior change ODGJ for their cause internal and external resulting response maladaptive behavior, the support of those closest to the form of the support of the nuclear family, financial assistance and technical assistance / transportation, the efforts of the family or caregiver to my healing with alternative effort and medical efforts, as well as ODGJ their community assessment that includes assessment of positive and negative judgments about the ODGJ.
