- The object of this study is Violation Principle of Guilty Prediction Performed By Online Media Viewed From Cyber Coverage Guidelines. The purpose of this research is to know and analyze the way to formulate the presumption of innocence in the news in online media, to know the basis of the consideration of the jatim editors of times in the news that is not in accordance with the provisions of the presumption of innocence, and to know the law enforcement conducted by the police against violation the principle of presumption of innocence by online media. The method used in this research is using the Sociological Juridical approach. Data obtained by using data collection technique through observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The result of the research shows that the form of presumption of innocent presumption in online media news is by editing before publication, more selective in journalist recruitment, the need for training of journalist candidates, and periodic upgrading of journalist ability and the need for active role of Press Council. As for the basis of consideration of the council of jatim reaction times in the news that is not in accordance with the provisions of the presumption of innocence is due to the understanding of the board of jatim times about abusers other than asusila aged over 18 years can be and can be written and blow-up its identity, this the underlying factor of lack of respect for the principle of presumption of innocence by the online media itself is motivated by the lack of understanding of journalists of the meaning of the presumption of innocence. With regard to law enforcement by the police in relation to the principle of presumption of innocence, the police are not authorized to be subject to the imposition of sanctions, because the authority is contained in the press council, but the police can make prevention efforts by giving appeals.
