- Pump is one tool to meet the daily water needs. As an agricultural country, Indonesia has considerable water consumption in agriculture, especially in the case of irrigation. But in fact Indonesia has a geographical location that some areas are hills and mountains that sometimes become an obstacle in meeting the daily water supply. Seeing the condition of the development of irrigation Hydraulic Pump Ram is one alternative technology of irrigation that can be applied by farmers in remote areas as a replacement of the wells. Briefly, the working principle of this hydra pump is to utilize the flow of water flowing from the altitude and then changed by a rapid valve closure mechanism resulting in water hammers (water hammer). In the design results obtained the resulting debit of 0.0008 m3 / s with a height that can be lifted as high as 10 meters. With 3 inch diameter input pipe diameter, 4 inch pump house diameter, 70 mm sewage valve diameter with efficiency of D'Aubussion 57% and rankine efficiency 41%.
