  • Long beans (Vigna sinensis L.) is one type of vegetable that has a long size and green color. In the long beans there are seeds that are round and slightly flat, but usually there are also slightly curved seeds. Long bean plants shrub or shrubs and are propagating. In the long bean cultivation is needed stake as a place of long bean plants twist and propagate. Stake commonly used in long bean cultivation made of bamboo with a length of 2 m. There are several forms or ways of installation of the stake, including a straight-line, triangle same foot stake and ajir triangle equally stake. Long peanuts need the stake as a vine, a good stake that is the stake that can make the plants do not coincide each other and the need for sunlight can be fulfilled.. However, if the leaves of long bean plants grow too much then it can affect the formation of flowers and pods, so the point of pruning the leaves is to stimulate / accelerate flowering. The purpose of this research is to find out how the influence of the shape of ajir and the time of pruning the leaves on the growth and yield of long bean crops (Vigna sinensis L.). This research use Randomized Block Design method factorial with 2 factors repeated 3 times. The first factor is the shape of the ajir, and the second factor is the time of pruning the leaves, so that the two factors obtained 12 treatment combinations. Observation parameters include: plant height, number of leaves, light intensity, number of flowers, number of pods, leg length, pod fresh weight, and pod dry weight. The results showed interaction between the shape of the stake with the time of pruning the leaves on the length of the pod at the age of 63 Days After Planting (DAP) and the intensity of light at the age of 28 DAP. Separately, the shape of the influence on the height of the plant at age 29, 32, 35 and 41 DAP. Pruning time had an effect on plant height at 29, 32, and 41 DAP, number of leaves at age 28, 35, 42 and 49 DAP, pod length at 59 and 61 DAP, fresh weight and dry weight at 61 DAP.
