  • This study aimed to describe: (1) the application of the model to the provision of scaffolding throwing snowball at study of mathematics, (2) The confidence of the students on the model with the provision of scaffolding throwing snowball at math learning, and (3) the ability of students' mathematical problem solving model by administering scaffolding throwing snowball at mathematics. This study used a form of case study with type of quantitative descriptive approach. The object of this research is the application of learning models by providing scaffolding throwing snowball. The data source is a class X student of Mathematics 1 MA Bilingual Stone and researchers. Data retrieved through observation to determine the activities of the teacher and student activities, workmanship questionnaire to determine the student's confidence and workmanship written test to determine students' problem-solving abilities. The results showed that: (1) The application of learning models snowball throwing the provision of scaffolding has been implemented properly and in accordance with the measures that have been planned, (2) the confidence of students has increased although not significant and are included in the category of medium, (3) mathematical problem solving ability of students classified in the high category.
