  • The lack of understanding among students about concepts of flood material is firstly known in the process of teaching and learning which is done by lecturing method, so students tend to be passive and the learning process only happens in one direction. This process of learning cannot meet the expected indicator in the learning plan. Unfulfilled indicators are 3.10.2 Identifying the causes of flooding, 4.10.1 analyzing ways to reduce the risk of occurrence of flooding and 4.10.2 Correlating the relationships of many factors that may cause flooding. The purpose of research is to develop the form of FLOGWIP media and analyze the FLOGWIP media's capacity in improving the concept mastery of Earth and Disaster Material in VII grade of high school student. The type of research was the Hannafin and Peck development model that has been simplified by Tegeh, et al (2014) which consists of three main processes, in such; needs assessment, design phase, and implementation and development. The trials in this study used two kinds of trials: small scale (3 students) and large scale (26 students). The data of the research were analyzed using quantitative research method in the form of questionnaire. The results showed that there was an increase in students' understanding on small and large scale trials. A small-scale test raises the posttest average value compare to average prestest (from 40 to 76), the increase of the average posttest value compare to average prestest value is 36. Large-scale trials raises in the posttest average value compare to the pretest average value (from the average of 40,38 to 79,23) the increase of the average posttest value compare to average prestest value is 39.
