- The baby's disposal case is very inhumane. The phenomenon is considered very apprehensive among the youth generation. Very sad, where the city of Malang is quite religious and nicknamed the City of Education is a lot of cases of baby disposal. Moreover, from many cases handled by Malang City Police Department, an average case is done by female students. This research uses sociological juridical approach method. The data source are interview results with the PPA Unit Polres Malang City. Research data is analyzed descriptively qualitative. The results showed there are three factors that cause the occurrence of criminal acts of baby’s disposal by the biological mother in Malang city. First, the feeling of fear and shame due to having a child outside marriage. Second, unpreparedness in having children. Third, the man that impregnate the abuser is not responsible. The three causal factors are basically interrelated and become the motive of a biological mother who is willing to dispose of her own baby. There are two efforts of Unit PPA Polres Malang City in tackling the crime of disposal of baby by mother in Malang City. First, preventive efforts (prevention) by providing counseling about the dangers of free sex in educational institutions. Second, the repressive efforts by running the crime investigation process of baby’s disposal by the biological mother. Repressive efforts more effective deterrent effect and minimize against criminal acts of baby’s disposal by the biological mother. Suggested Unit PPA Polres Malang City to increase the intensity of preventive and repressive actions against the crime of babies disposal by biological mother and strengthening the fabric of cooperation with related parties. Parents are advised to provide extra supervision and provide a strong understanding of religious values to the daughters who are studying and living in distant places.
