- Teaching Plan (RPP) is the crucial part in teaching learning process. On the revised edition of Curriculum 2013, the RPP should reveal four kinds of aspects such as PPK (Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter/Character-Strengthening Education), Literacy, 4C (Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Creativity) and HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill). The RPP has not been studied largely yet since it was first implemented by the teacher for the last one year. Linking to that fact, the researcher intended to analyze the implementation of RPP based on revised edition of Curriculum 2013. This research aims to: (1) explain the implementation of RPP, (2) find out the problems faced by the English teachers in implementing RPP and, (3) describe the strategies used by the English teachers at SMPN 25 Malang to cope with the problems in implementing RPP based on revised edition of Curriculum 2013. This research was conducted by means of qualitative research design. Therefore, the data collection instruments used in this research was observation, interview and document. The subjects of this research were three English teachers at SMPN 25 Malang. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that the implementation of RPP run effectively in accordance with the revised edition of Curriculum 2013. However, the result also showed that there were two factors that caused problem in implementing RPP, such as teacher’s factor and learners’ factor. The last, the teacher were not just silent but the teacher also did an action as their strategies to cope with the problems in implementing RPP based on revised edition of Curriculum 2013.
