- Slow learner is a child who has low cognitive abilities and experience limitations in the abstract concept, so that slow learner children experience delays in the ability to count (sum and subtraction). The way to improve the ability of counting (sum and subtraction) slow learner children is to use the help of learning media in the learning process. One form of learning media to help children slow learner is to use media snake games. Media snake games in the form of learning media in the form of concrete objects and teach children in learning mathematics is counting (sum and subtraction). The purpose of this study was to improve the mathematical ability (sum and subtraction) for slow learner children. This type of research used a single case experiment design. The subjects were slow learner children aged 7-9 years class I Elementary School which amounted to 3 children selected using purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the media snake games able to improve the ability to calculate mathematics (sum and subtraction) in children slow learner.
